No Spark After Hot Restart.
got a ps1000, my issue is that after the car is fully warmed/hot and shut the car down. it wont start back up. no spark. I have to wait 10-20min for it to cool down before it start back up. anybody else have this issue?

nup... sounds like a wiring issue. Faulty engine relay?
I will try it. but I got to wait till summer. ;(
any particular amp relay should I be using?
Do you get an rpm reading in the software when cranking it during the no start?
I haven't played around hooking up to computer. all I know is when I crank I have no response on the rpm gauge and no spark at the plug. I tried swapping coils. no change. this issue was there from day 1 since I got it from the shop.

I read were some people said if the ecu overheats it does the same thing. I am thinking of cutting the top and installing a fan.
the ECU overheating was a software glitch, the new firmware fixed it for most people.
is it something I can do? does it mess up the tune?
Na, all software updates do nothing to existing tunes.
Need to log on with the lappy - be online + be connected to the ECU - get the new patches and then do the update. Can take a good 10 mins but the current patch fixed allot of my issues. |
when you do this does the ecu need to be hooked up to the car?
Compression issue?

Oh ok thats good. I'm having similar problems with my old microtech all of a sudden. My comression turned out to be good too. Im thinking about pulling the ecu out and burning it with fire.
