installing a haltech

i've setted up the maps i need for my new engine on the e6a software on the offline mode.then i saved them to a floppy disk.before i 'll try to go the online mode and start the engine i want to know how should i transfer the data from floppy disk to haltech.
i found the data logging menu.what is the purpose of data logging either to memory and to disk?

File->Load Map

Then select the map while in online mode.. It will upload it if you are online and select to load a new map..

PS. I would also suggest reading the manual.

the E6A is not the most user friendly of the Haltech line of ECU's. the stock Mazda CAS(crank angle sensor) does not work well with the built in reluctor of this ECU so a chopper wheel may need to be fabricated. I tried to use one of these ECU's and I could not get the CAS to work so I traded up to the E6K, but I had bought mine new. used ECU's and computers scare me, so I hope it was a very good deal.

i have also expierenced problems with the signal from cas to the ecu cause of different wave type.i finally solved the problem with using two magnetic signal stabilizers from msd.
used ecu's also scares me too.but i bought the e6a+harness+relays for $300.
now i'm thinking of going the e11 way.

have you started this engine with the MSD parts? I tried to use this same setup with very poor results, engine would not start, ECU could not interpret the CAS signal. that is cheep enough that I would fabricate a chopper wheel and try the ecu as is.
