ignition system

Alright so here's the deal. Got my half-bridged tii motor with n/a rotors, with an fd pump, and got 4 venom 1000cc injectors with my e6k. I have got it running but its doesn't run well at all and smokes a hella lot, but its more of a rich gas smoke than oil or coolant. So i was checking the spark with a timing light and noticed one of the trailings were not firing so swapped coils out, plugs, and wires and same thing. I could switch the two leading and have the trailing wires off and it would basically run the same way, so I'm thinking somethings up with the whole ignition system. I was thinking of starting with new boshs coils so to eliminate the coils and get new wires and plugs. Is there different settings in the e6k program when switching coils over?

Also I noticed when I was making sure the injectors fired, both the primary's fired at the same time. Which is normal?

Sounds like a number of your settings are wrong. Are you using a base map from someone? If so, start with the base map listed in the sticky. It's actually very good for first startup and an excellent starting point.

Make sure to zero your timing as well.

Yea i'm using the one from claud. For some reason when zeroing it it wouldn't start until you turn the the cas all the way clockwise from stop to stop since. It just ran funky all the time and has smoked all the time so far. Also stutters like none other when giving a little throttle. Have switched back to the stock Tii primes since then and hasn't started.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't make sense that both primary injectors fire at the same time. Shouldn't they be spaced apart? I tried different settings but those only make all 4 go at the same time. Also should it be on 4 cylinder setting or 2?

Your injection should not be set to batch. It should be set to 4 cylinder in rotor mode. Are you certain the wiring around the injectors and trailing coil is correct?

its set to staged and before i swapped injectors they would fire differently which is why i was all worried. pretty sure the wiring is right and it ran before, just not good because of the tune.

ok yea its on rotor mode. Atually I just put it back together and had it running for like 40 minutes which it smoked the whole time, but may be thinking its my turbo since it has alot of in and out shaft play.

Well took the turbo off and see all this nasty thick oil from the rear rotor. sucks Guess I couldn't get my first rebuild right. Well I can use the seals that are better than the ones in there and take those RA springs out i guess.
