Actually, it's not as big a worry as you might think, at least not for the end users.

What it means to the dealers is that they will now deal directly with Haltech AU to fill their orders, provide technical assistance, and provide repair service. The dealers will actually have to do their part to support the systems, which many have not up to this point. Most end users will NOT be interested in having to call Australia every time they have a problem they can't figure out, and will learn the value of doing business with a knowlegable, helpful dealer instead. Haltech will very likely start being more selective with who they allow to resell their products, as the lack of consistency in the quality of service provided by dealers is a large part of what's been biting them in the *** in the years past.

I don't think Haltech is on the outs. If anything, I consider this an opportunity for re-birth. I suspect that Haltech will again have a US office one day, but not until the company has reorganized and settled following the death of Mr. Mitchell. Good things are no-doubt on the horizon.
