Haltech streetability.

I am working on my new street ported engine with a TO4 60-1 turbo I will be putting in this winter. I will be buying a haltech E6K for it in the very near future. I want this car to be basically a real mean street car with some track time and was wondering basically how streetable haltech is, Basically weather its going to be a real pain in the *** or what?

I've only had mine in for a few months, but once I tuck the serial cable away and pull the laptop out of the car, you don't even think about it being there. Once you have it setup correctly, you can leave it and forget it until the mod something else on the engine. Thats a lot of words to say: extremely streetable.

I know after installing my E6K my car ran better than it had before. Better idle, lower coolant temps and more power

Re: Haltech streetability.

I drive my 3rd gen rx7 everyday to and from work. Very very reliable. Winter is rolling around in nyc and i just adjused the coolant maps and also the primer maps. Starts well. Using the PWM outputs to control the idle also. When car starts when cold it idles at 1100 and then after 170deg will drop to 900. Working well so far. Waiting for the temps to drop below 0 and see how she works then.

Once again, im picky and i am happy with the Haltech so far.

I could never get my motor to run right with the factory ECU, it would always have some hiccups either in the mid range, and it'd be fine at the low and top ends, or it'd idle like ****, then run fine the rest of the way, i then put in a Haltech E6K and some 800cc secondary injectors and it's like a totally new car, it ran soo smooth and crisp, it drives oh so smoothly.

Just yesterday i discovered why the factory ECU would never run the motor right, it's been extended ported pretty large.....

oh well
I now have a GTR Skyline Fuel pump (similar flow to a cosmo 20B pump), 4 800 cc injectors, one hugely ported and polished throttle body and a few other trick bits here and there, just got my engine bay half apart to do the oil pressure o ring, then its all going back together then in a month or so i'll be add a T04 and FMIC, bring on 400+ HP baby

Hey man, you saw my car. We met at the holloween drive. I was the FC with FD rims and the N1 DUALs.

I run the E6k. Is very streetable. let just say, I Haven' t had any more problems with my car. The only thing you'll loose is emmision which you can just hook up a cat and the air pump back directly and pass emmisions and take it out.
