Hmmm... i think we definately need to start documenting serial numbers from Haltech units, i see this happen very often, were people show up with ECU only or harnesses only, and its always suspicious.

Well I already have my harness and ecu but the guy that sold me it had the labels alittle weird, so im not sure if its right, along with still needing a tps since my s4 won't work.

The Harnesses are compatible, but you have to watch out for a couple of differences when wiring them up. Look at this chart and see for your self, on the trigger wires, the grounds are swapped with other things.

Differences in the RE and 2nd gen motor are the TPS, im not sure but possibly the wires on the CAS might be the same colors or wired differently, and depending on what coils you use, other than that, the rest is the same. Are you using the BAC?

Well, an RE motor is definately better than an 13BT motor, bigger ports, stronger, more power potential, my personal favorite is the REW engine. You can get away with a high horspower 13BT if you do a good build and dwell it. It all depends on what you want to do.

Check post 18...Claudio posted a chart with the differences between the K and the X. The connector plug is the same... but the pin out is different, meaning that the wires do different things and could potentially burn your ECU up or an engine component if your not careful

*edit**

after looking at the chart it looks like the only real changes other then wire color is pin 7,12,34 and 35
