The first recommendation is that you get an E6X or an E8, since you will benefit from true direct fire or wasted spark ignition, and a whole bunch of cool features the E6A didnt have. There are 2 ways of going abou this.

1. If you are bent on installing the E6A, it does have Rotary mode, BUT, doesnt read off magnetic reluctors, and doesnt have the toggle feature the S and the K had to work the ignition the proper way. But, you can set it to direct fire, and get either the RA8 reluctor adapter or a pair of MSD8509 Magnetic Signal Stabilizers, that way you can read off a 2nd Gen CAS or your 2 crank sensors and work the ignition right. You even have a trailing map for the split.

Or, 2. Are you going to use an old distributor to run your ignition? if that is the case, you could handle leading and trailing timing like the old ignition worked, where it would fire each time the 4 tooth trigger passed a reluctor. You would neet to set the trigger type as Standard, and wire up each reluctor to each haltech trigger (main and home), that way, the haltech fires each rotor's plugs at the same time. Im told that runing it like this has only one side effect, you loose a little low end torque.

Let me know if you need help wiring it up.

Do you mean the 2nd gen CAS or the Old distributor? At any rate the simple answer is no, theres a post around here about the use of MSD DIS boxes with rotaries, the fact is the DIS 4 cant charge fast enough to be used by it self in a rotary application. In other words, you need 2 DIS 2 or 2 MSD 6As or 3 MSD 6As.

Or, ideally, a Motec CDI box, or an Autronic 500R, or (we hope soon) an AEM C2DI box which is in theory supposed to work with the Rotary's funky ignition system.

If you use different CDI boxes you get different spark characteristics, thats why its recommended you use the same one all around. If you use the old dissy use 2 MSD 6A's, if you use the DIS units, just use 2 DIS-2.

The TPS has 4 pins, you need to know which are power, ground and full range 0-5v signal, the 4th is a switch that goes from 0 to 5v after a certain point.

What OS does your laptop have? are you aware that DOS software doesnt comunicate in winXP? you need to use either virtual PC with a DOS partition or a Win9x partiiton, or get an older lappy to work the software. Also, what firmware version (serial number) does your E6A have, do you have the correct software? Are you hearing the relays click when you power up the Haltech? have you connected the grey wire to a 12V switched source?

Did you try connecting your lappy directly to the serial connector on the Harness?

If you want i can give you my phone number so you can call me and i can guide you throught this.
