Getting Haltech need some answers please

Hi all i am getting a haltech (E6k) within 2 weeks and was wondering if i can run 6 550cc injectors like the regular 4 inside the manifold then 2 more in the IC b4 the throttle body. can i do this? is there any downsides over like 4, 720's?? i cant justify $400-500 for injectors right now after spending over $4000.
also does anyone have any instructions on taking off all the emmissions stuff along with the un-needed harnesses and stuff?? thanks
Jason

what application is this for and why do you think you need six injectors? the E6K can run up to 8 injectors I believe maybe more if run in batch fire mode. I am using 4 550's for my turbo II race motor with no problem. It would be alot less expensive to upgrade the injectors than to make the new injector mounts(and needed fuel rail) and I would also locate them in the intake manifold after the throttle plates if you decide this is the way you want to go.

Yes you could run the 6x550cc injectors, but it would not be recommended. Save the money and go for a pair of 1100cc or 1600cc secondary injectors to replace your two 550cc secondaries in there now.

Thanks, i'll just wait a bit then get 1200 or 1600 in the secondaries. How much boost can the stock injectors support with the stock turbo and a FMIC?? (along with exh. intake haltech etc.) Thanks

IMHO, I would never run more than 10psi with the stock injectors. You can push it to 12psi but to me that is risking it.

Many will claim you can run more. Many have rebuilt their motors shortly after.

Jason, finally getting one.

Are you doing a TII engine swap too?

Here is what I lost
AFM, ACV, ALL vaccum solenoids, egr vavle, air pump, the little vavle that sits between the bac and intercooler, pressure sensor, knock sensor, ECU, and the whole right side harness.

I had to rewire my temp gauge wire, wiper motor and cruise control motor wire.

I resued the hole left by the old engine harness at the firewall and sent the haltech harness thru there reusing the old wire gormet from the old harness. I had to cut the harness to reuse it.

The hardest thing was the tps from haltech. I used old parts from my N/A throttle body and was able to come up with a cool linkage to control the new tps. If you want to see pics, let me know.

Yep finally getting one.. hehe
as of now i have a nice little pile stacking up in my garage.
88 J-spec TII motor
Greddy FMIC
Blitz BOV
HKS POV
AVC-R
Greddy A/F w/ 4 wire o2
Haltech E6k
2.5" straight to Apex N1 Dual
Intake
and some other **** i cant remember right now.

I want to get rid of almost everything. as far as emmissions go. did you have to make plates for the EGR valve? also when you say right side harness thats the passenger side correct. Can you give me any details to the rewiring of the wiper motor? I also heard that you might have to rewire the alternator any truth to that?
The only thing i am really waiting for now is a upgraded turbo so i can push some air through my FMIC.. Thanks
Jason

p.s. i would love to see any pics you have..

Basically the wires that come from the wipermotor, cruise control actuator and coolant sensor for the guage share the same hole *** the harness so they are taped together going inside the car. Inside the car there should be a few plugs, 2 for the ECU and a one or two for the another pressure sensor and some thing something else but there shoudl be one big bang plug with about 24 pins in or wire coming into it. That's where the wiper motor cruise control and coolant sensor and probably the wires for the alternator plug in.

Since I wanted to use the same hole for the haltech wires and wanted to reuse the rubber gurment on the fire wall I cut all the wire of since thre is no way you'll be able to slip all the big plugs out thru it without ripping the rubber.

You have have to do is find the right wires for the a above stuff, and more wire for them and match the colors and pluging.

I hope youunderstand what I did. Everything works on my car perfectly. The hatech ECU sits in the same place the old ECU was.

that sounds pretty badass. exactly what i'm looking forward to. i am not going to have cruise control right off so i dont have to worry about that but i will rewire the alternator and wiper motors. But i am going to be using the coolant temp sensor with the haltech so do i still need to rewire it? With my j-spec motor i wont have to deal with the egr from my understanding, but how did you take all of the plastic solenoids off? thats what i want to do, just dont know how. Do you have any pics that might be helpful or hell just cool.
also what injectors are u using? cause i need a some maps for stock injectors with the 2 bar map sensor.
thanks
