e6x with 3rd gen??

I know that the e6x had "problems" with the pickups on the 2nd gen cas, but I was wondering if any one had any problems the pickups on the 3rd gen crank angle sensors?
I am trying to figure out wether to try to find a old e6k or go ahead and buy the e6x.
