Haltech connector identification problems
connector identification problems
Hey all, I am having trouble figuring out where some of my connectors go. I know what the obvious ones, such as fuel injectors, map, cts, intake ai temp, tps, etc etc go. But its these 4 that ia m having problems with....any help?

easy to check wiring diagram for explanation, but from memory. road speed, O2 sensor are two I didn't use. most installs are not using all the available inputs. again check the wiring diagram for correct ID.
thanks Tim, but the manual i have is fairly generic as to the explanation of connectors and such. They didnt even have the right thread size for the sensors it came with. said one was 3/8 NPT and it was 14mmx1.50.
So needless to say, i am relying more on persons with experience than on my manual.

You dont have the instruction manual? Arent the haltech guys on the other board helping? Off the top of my head the square one is for the Oxy sensor. Atleast the oxy sensor I had was a female version of that plug.
tony,
no one is really helping. all i hear is either nothing, or read the manual.
I HAVE the manual, but as i said before, its VERY VERY generic. I would assume that the one i have is the one that everyone else has. I did fail to mention that i have the terminted harness, and i didnt notice anything in the manual specifically for it.
I guess my only option then, is to read through the manual and to get in touch with haltech.au to answer any other future questions i have.
thanks

in my manual the wiring diagram is the last or second to the last page. normally you can see the number of wires per plug to determine which plug it is. you can look a the group of wire colors and match them to the plug in question. wiring diagram has been correct on my harness. sorry I don't/can't recognise the plugs from pics I always just use the wiring diagram.

I can tell u that the square one was not the O2sensor at least on mine, it was like the top picture, just like the diagram in the manual, and the black purple one is definetaly road speed.
#1 is most likely 02 i believe the map is orange but same style
#2 i cant remember.
#3 is road speed
#4 is your pwm outputs.
(i think) i will look for you. i used the flying lead a few times but i have terminated harnes i can take a look at.
this would be easy if you showed the colors of the wires. not the actual connectors.

I posted on that link and said to look at the colors as well. The wire colors from the Haltech should be right because they are absolutely necessary to hook it up correctly. I found that with the terminated harness some of the colors changed due to the 3rd party putting extra wires in there to hook up the plugs. If you follow the wire back though, you should see the correct wire color.
Don't discount the wiring diagram at the back of the manual.  I look at the stupid thing probably the most out of all the pages in the manual itself.  The wiring diagram is coded to tell you how many pins for each plug and the wire codes.  The pics you included don't really show the wire colors.
