Thumbs down Bubble Tech FC Door panels!

So we've finally got around to mess with FC version door panels. In order to do some mock ups, I bought a FC door panel without guts, so as of right now we have the mounting solution done and pull strap sorted out. Currently we need to figure out how to mount the door handle, window switch/handle, and double check the door panel against the glass (to get the correct profile)

Unfortunately I do not have an FC so we are looking for someone willing to loan us their car for a few days to finish up the door panels. In return we will give you $150 credit towards our aluminum door panel! (carbon fiber will be available later on)

Set of Aluminum panels are $350
Currently only available in Anodized aluminum
We will be releasing a limited enamel gloss white and matte bronze version
We can also do a brushed aluminum finish
And CF will be released later on once the molds are made

Prototype pic (Please not this is a PROTOTYPE so edges will be cleaned up once the jig is made, the bolt for the pull strap is slightly visible so we will be moving the hole lower, there is not rubber weather strip on the "lip" near the glass and this is a thin scrap piece of aluminum we had laying around.)

These are for FD's but just an example of the Anodized aluminum it will come in

Negative, we use to offer the FG for the FD versions but it didnt make sense. cost was too high so we came out with the aluminum versions for a more economical option. Any reason why you prefer FG?

Its easier to intergrate/mold things to the FG ones. By things I mean speaker pods, AC vent, etc.

Sorry, I rarely frequent rx7club. I'm a one man shop doing everything, and by everything I mean from designing, decals, screen printing, marketing, shipping, fabrication of all our metal and composite products. Its very hard keeping track of everything and as a new business owner, there is a huge learning curve. Sorry we lost your business but thank you for letting me know. I'll stride to improve on that in the future

Ahh, I see. Also FG versions will require a mold, more material, time and labor = higher price. These panels were designed to simplify and shave weight. With that said we did not design them to be modified in that fashion.

We just released them and they can be found on our site:
FC3S Race Door Panels

As you can see we went through multiple prototypes to refine the details. Many of these renditions are just tweaking hole placement and making cut outs justtt big enough for the accessories. Many of the times making adjustments just 0.10" to ensure the BEST quality fitment! Everything is 100% bolt on, no modifications necessary and 100% reversible. All hardware is include!

Now for some !
Stock door panel WITHOUT the door handle is a over 5lbs. Meanwhile ours is under 3lbs. After you take in account the weight of the stock door handle, it will be a weight savings of over 50%!!!

Also we just released some new finishes including anodized black and a limited edition brush gold Anodize!!!

I'd love to see a picture from the seat with the door closed. I'm curious what it would look like installed in a car with a stock dash.

Thanks.

Any plans on a group buy?
