HalfSpec Engineering FD S2000 Antenna Kit GB Interest Thread
[size=14pt]I'm happy to start a GB interest thread for my new FD S2000 Antenna Mod![/size]
I ran a practice GB on norotors and sold out within 36 hours. Everyone who purchased one has been very happy with the kit so I decided to bring it to rx7club.
This kit was designed from the ground up to be as plug and play as possible. The installation is completely reversible if you want to return the antenna to stock at any point in the future.
At the heart of the kit is the 6061 Aluminum adapter machined to 0.005" for a precision interference fit in the stock antenna base:
The adapter was painstakingly designed to properly connect to the stock internal Mazda antenna connections inside the base unit while insulating the adapter from the chassis ground.

Along with the adapter you have the option of purchasing a genuine 7" OEM S2000 antenna (part # 39151-S2H-E01) that this adapter was made for at my cost ($22):
Please ignore the top antenna. The 7" antenna on the bottom is what I'm trying to show, I just don't have a picture of it by itself handy.
[size=14pt]Requirements[/size]
This kit works by utilizing the stock antenna base unit. Consequently, you'll need a stock antenna base unit along with all the parts it uses to make its exit out of the passenger rear quarter panel. If your grommet and locking retainer / nut haven't aged well simply due to the fact that it forms the external section of the stock antenna, you can order new ones using the Mazda part # FD01-66-A9Y. This is the part number for both the grommet and the locking retainer/nut.

As mentioned above, you will have two options for purchase:
1. Adapter ONLY = $50 shipped within the USA / $55 Shipped to Canada. Pretty self explanatory. If you already have a M5x0.8" antenna or have a hookup at a Honda dealership to get a 39151-S2H-E01 for less than $22 this option is for you.
2. Adapter + Genuine OEM Honda S2000 antenna = $72* Shipped within the USA / $77* Shipped to Canada. This includes the above adapter + the 39151-S2H-E01 antenna.
*Note = Some of you may notice that the norotors sale price for the adapter + antenna was $2 cheaper than it is here. That is simply because on 11/1 the prices went up $2 on the 39151-S2H-E01 antenna so unfortunately it raised the price on the GB.
[size=14pt]GB Length and Shipment ETA[/size]
I am planning for two GBs selling approximately 20 antenna + adapter kits each GB (adapter only purchases aren't limited within reason (I.E., they won't count in the 20 position GB slots below)). Each GB will last 2 weeks or however long it takes for the slots to fill and for everyone to receive their antennas. Whichever happens sooner.

Both kit options will be shipped via trackable USPS priority mail and will arrive at most destinations within 2-3 days.

Bought this on norotors first group buy. Very easy to install and quality is awesome for an OEM look. Buyers will not regret. (Finally can get the radio stations clear that were fuzzy since my original antenna didn't work)

*Update*
I received my batch of twenty 39151-S2H-E01 antennas over the weekend so I am moving forward to making this GB official. I am talking with Internet Brands to get cleared to start a GB. As soon as that process wraps up I'll move this over and start accepting payments.

I have copied the interest list over to the GB page. I am planning on letting the GB run 1 week or until all 20 of the full antenna kit slots fill up. That puts us at closing on 11/24/15 and shipping on 11/25/15 (pending payment).
