When it's time to pay, will there be a link posted here with the GB price and deposit option like with the big brake kit?

The 35w bulbs are being amped up by 15w watts, creating a brighter to the eye light. Feel free to correct or delete this post if I am wrong :)

This post is very much correct and thank you for posting :icon_tup: . The only thing I'll add is that overdriving the bulbs shifts the color to a lower color spectrum (more yellow) so to compensate for that color shift you can run higher K (bluer) bulbs to correct for the color shift. At the end of the day you get 30% more light intensity from the higher wattage ballasts.

I almost want to buy the 10th spot if it gets the group buy going :)

Yes :)

Maybe a dumb question but if going with the 50w ballast, can you still just simply put the OEM 4300k bulbs in if you find that the light from the 50w 5000k combination is too much?

bulb color temp doesn't significantly affect light intensity... ballast wattage does. If you're on the fence go for the OEM standard 35w ballasts. If you want more light or spend alot of time driving in the city you might consider the 50w.

When does this group buy end?

one month after it starts, though it hasn't started yet... this is just an interest thread to see if there is enough interest in putting these into production again.

Pretty please?

C'mon guys, this may be one of the last chances to own THE BEST hid kit available - at a discount ;)

Nataphen 08-05-12 05:30 PM

I only wish I could've gotten the SBG brake kit too, but I have to jump on this opportunity since it may be the last. I'll just have to take that extra $400 hit on the brake kit later. :(

Money's burning a hole in my secret FD stash the gf can't find. Any updates?

SakeBomb Garage 08-10-12 09:26 PM

Sorry we're lagging, we're doing all sorts of projects at the same time but we'll get an official GB going shortly. Thanks for your patneice, we've got a ton on our plate at the moment with new parts development ;)

rino 08-14-12 03:34 PM

This should take priority over other group buys. People's lives are at stake here :)

SakeBomb Garage 08-14-12 07:56 PM

^ I agree, though at the moment we're trying to finish up "stopping" and "putting out fires" as well :D We'll try to have something up by the end of the week to begin collecting payments.

I would like to get in on this GB too...add me in for a set of 35w LHD:nod:

Nataphen 08-16-12 04:47 PM

Please pull me off the list. I know I'm the one that sort of begged for this, but my home situation has taken a nasty turn in the last few weeks. The FD is the least of my worries right now, and I may even be selling it soon.

rino 08-16-12 05:18 PM

No worries, we still have our 10th man. Take care of home business first.

Nataphen 08-16-12 06:57 PM

Thanks.

I'll see if I can get a mod to elevate this from "GB Interest" to official GB... otherwise I'll post a new official GB thread and move the list over there. I'll PM everyone and post a link if that happens, but the link above (on our website) is where to go to process your payment.

*Once you submit payment please mark yourself as "paid" on the GB list:

I just followed the link. It requires full payment and charges additional for shipping. In the original post, shipping is included. Is full payment optional? I would like to leave a deposit now and pay the rest when they're ready to ship. Please advise.

:)

Same here

Coolant_Leak 08-28-12 06:55 PM

^^ I am on the same boat. I don't mind paying full now--I just want my lights ASAP. But the original post says "Shipping included".

Let me know what to do.

Thanks.

I don't think anyone is getting their lights for a while. If we can get them in 1-2 weeks i'll pay in full now too. :)

Coolant_Leak 08-28-12 07:00 PM

Also is tax included in price?

Website shows tax included (tax would be ~$67 @7.5%) so if its either or -- I'd rather pay shipping -- Unless they both should be included.
