MD Gauging Interest: Sun Visor Bezel

We have noticed more and more of these pieces being broken on sun visors and had our 3D printer come up with a solution. These are a two piece plastic design. The pictures show our first prototype. If there is enough interest, we will work on getting it closer to the OEM finish. Price would be $30 shipped in padded envelopes for a pair.

Thanks
ESH Upholstering

Don't need them but for the price I'll take a pair to have on hand just in case.

I'm interested. Could you explain how the installation would work with the 2 pieces?

In this picture you can see how the two pieces fit together. To actually install it on the visor you simply place the smaller interior piece on the visor and then snap the larger exterior piece over it. Once they are snapped together they have to be pried apart to be removed. They can slide apart with some effort, but there is not enough space on the fd visor for that to happen.

I will get an installation video for once the actual group buy is run. It is very simple and straight forward once you see it done once. We are hoping to get the group buy started in the month of September. Our 3d printer is making some small adjustments and then we will be moving forward. So, keep your eyes peeled!!!!

Thanks for the interest,
Austin

Group buy is under way!!!! We shortened the length 1.5mm for the production units. This makes them the exact same size as the OEM units. The acetone wash did not accomplish the finish we were looking for and possibly made these weaker. So we are sticking with the raw finish. Installation images can be found in the group buy threads also.

Thanks,
Austin
