Defined Autoworks V-mount kit is here :)

Finally after so many requests we now offer a full bolt on V-mount kit.

It includes--

-- modified Koyo large core radiator
-- modified 18x 12x 3.5 bar and plate intercooler,
-- heavy duty steel mounting brackets that are mounted on included rubber isolators
-- Aluminum ducting
-- cold side intercooler pipe that mates to a greddy elbow
-- silicone couplers
-- aluminum radiator pipe
-- radiator hoses
-- all mounting hardware.

Price is currently $1350 . Which is higher than we would like. If we get 3+ orders at the same time we can get it down to $1250.00

WEBSITE CURRENTLY HAS INCORRECT PRICE! Which will be changed and updated shortly.

Key differences to our kit vs. what is currently on the market-

The intercooler and radiator are supported by large rubber isolators. No broken end tanks, or cracked radiators over time from solid mounting.
We included every nut and bolt for installation.
Each kit is test fitted to ensure no hassle assembly
Ducting that actually seals off 90% of bypass air.
Will work with a/c, but we currently do not supply the brackets to do so. End user will have to fit the condenser.
Will work with twin turbo and single turbo
Will work with power steering
Will work stock fans *if* trimmed in two corners. We personally recommend using a single 14" fan.

This looks awesome!!! I gotta start saving for my turbo swap

Gringo Grande 03-31-11 07:42 AM

Wow! Looks to be a relatively inexpensive price but with great fitment! Great deal for those in the market

evot23 03-31-11 07:44 AM

I say go for it Kevin...you know you are dying for a vmount

justturbo2 03-31-11 08:12 AM

looks awsome

93rx74lyfe 03-31-11 08:23 AM

Will the ducting also work with a 99 spec bumper? Is there any way to supply a hot side pipe for those on the twins?

Polak Graphics 03-31-11 08:28 AM

We have needed something at this price point and quality for a while.

RX7 RAGE 03-31-11 08:48 AM

looks great

amp 03-31-11 09:02 AM

are those brackets aluminum...

GtoRx7. 03-31-11 09:29 AM

^^
Brackets are steel. We have found that aluminum brackets eventually fatigue and crack over time.

Supernaut 03-31-11 09:34 AM

Wow awesome stuff. Great job as usual.

Ehron 03-31-11 09:39 AM

Damn it. I think I'm going to sell my Rotary-Works kit and buy this. This looks significantly more complete.

Great idea -- inexpensive add-on?

How much testing has been done in 90+ degree weather with the single 14" fan? Everything else looks great though and the price is good. I just never see any after market fans that compare to the performance of the stock fans.

How much CFM do the stock fans pull? I would think a single 14" fan could pull 1200 - 1300+...yes (?)

Funkspectrum 03-31-11 11:26 AM

I like it. Almost makes me want to sell my M2 setup...

Herblenny 03-31-11 11:38 AM

kit looks good. Any on the twins?

AzEKnightz 03-31-11 11:38 AM

this look's pretty good. If there's enough interest, is it possible to start a group buy to lower the cost =)?

2870 CFM with both fans running... https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/stock-radiator-fan-cfm-rating-686184/

Also, it's not just about CFM, but how much of the radiator core you are using. I don't think a single 14" fan would cut it in traffic in hot weather, but I could be wrong. I think a nice slim dual fan setup pushing somewhere around 2000 CFM and covering the whole radiator (shrouded preferably), would be a much better setup.

Oscypek1007 03-31-11 11:48 AM

Nice! I'm in for a group buy!

sounds right to me..I concur

Looking good, but using a modified Koyo means that the drain plug is facing UP and you won't be able to fully drain the system without removing the radiator.

Slevin77 03-31-11 12:30 PM

Beautiful vmount! Wish I just didn't buy the blitz fmic... =(
