thanks guys

right now i have spare banjos to do several sets so i don't necessarily need them to make the sets, but i will need replacements in the future so i encourage those who have broken lines or lines that will have no home back on an engine to recycle the fittings.

i've been looking for new replacements but haven't had any luck so far with banjo ends that are small enough to fit on the engine/OMP.

i just make the sets as they are ordered because of the various combinations and limited amount of banjos i have on hand.

Woundering if you have any S4 turbo left?

jjandros 12-18-12 09:34 PM

I have two sets of old S4 NA lines as well as a brand new set.

RotaryEvolution 12-19-12 03:36 PM

yes i still have a few sets left but they are going pretty quick, it's that time of the year.

RotaryEvolution 12-21-12 05:20 PM

now out of stock on enough fittings to do FC sets, if anyone wants them made i will need core fittings from the lines to build them until i find more. i do have one n/a set left and ready to go but waiting for an answer before it is available or not.

also as always looking for more banjos if anyone has old broken line sets lying around and wants a few bucks for them.

i will be looking into making custom banjos but not just yet(too busy), because keeping these in stock is becoming a royal pain.

I need a S4 NA set, I have the old fittings here and cleaned. Plus I got half the fittings from a T2 set. PM me your address and I will send em all out.
Many Thanks
Steven

i'll send you a PM with shipping info a little later this evening.

i did price out materials to make new banjos with aluminum collets with brass inserts and when i do get around to it with all brand new hardware the line sets will probably be about $130 per set and no more trying to get and keep the banjos in stock. the other nice thing is they will not oxidize like the factory steel banjos.

i do need to fix my lathe first, to cut the collets to size and mill down the smaller banjos(material sizes are not exact and need to be machined).

Any update on these? Just wondering if you're able to build the banjos yourself now.

IDwenger 03-06-13 05:09 AM

I'm interested, what is the tubing your using? Where could I get some? Or maybe you have everything to make a set for a S5 N/A?

yes, i am set up now to make new banjos but there will be a price increase to produce the new fittings. i will still have the version 1.0 line service available but the v2.0 lines with aluminum/brass banjos will be about $45 higher than the v1.0 refurbished OEM banjo sets, customers will have to provide their own fittings(send them directly to me) and turnaround times will be longer than the v2.0 due to that.

https://imageshack.us/a/img341/5833/picture098u.jpg

there isn't much benefit of the v2.0 over v1.0 with steel fittings, they're basically identical but this allows me to not have to go back and forth when/if i have any banjos available. for the most part most people have not been wanting to deal with sending theirs in. in all respect these lines should last longer than the OEM lines as well as look much nicer, but they will also be more expensive versus the v1.0 lines which i priced below the OEM sets.

realistically it takes about an hour of labor not including parts to make the 8 banjos for an FC line set, since i have still not been able to find any proper replacements already fabricated this is the best i can offer at $147 shipped for the v2.0 sets in any of the 4 colors.

if there is enough interest i may do a group buy on the v2.0 sets since i require no cores to make them and it is much simpler if i just make them in mass amounts versus a few sets at a time. but the price will still not be greatly reduced, since at best it takes 1.5 hours from start to finish of labor not including cost of raw materials, and these materials are not exactly cheap. i could probably knock off about $20-25 if i had an order of 20 or so sets.

Windows XP, really?

More to the point though, I bought a set of the V-1 lines and am quite happy with them.
As originally designed, I find the OMP system to be incredibly halfassed (why all these flimsy oil carrying lines are run externally makes it seem like an afterthought) but Ben's replacements make a bad setup better (they don't crack at least) and they look kinda neat too.

How much for a set of your clear V2 lines with shipping to New Zealand?

sp1d3r 08-16-13 08:52 PM

I'm interested in a set of your v2 lines as well. Are you still making these? If so, can you please pm a price with shipping to 97504? Thank You.

RotaryEvolution 09-28-13 08:29 PM

yes, i'm still making the line sets. and i'm still out of stock with the OEM banjos so the above still applies to the original version. the new versions i can make at any time.

"I contacted Ben to arrange for his Braided OMP line upgrade service. I had my S4 OMP shipped to him and upon recieving it he quickly went through and gave me a health update. From the looks of this OMP it was clear that i had lucked out, he had nothing but stellar results as this could basically be considered new for all intensive purposes.

Ben advised me that with this being the case i really shouldn't need any service he offers, whether it be a rebuild service, new braided lines or or even new aluminum banjo fittings. I had this rebuilt for more as a show piece than anything else so I pressed on with all the necessary services as i wanted a "bulletproof" OMP in the end.

I told Ben what i wanted, even though he suggested that it was not necessary, he got started immediately and was very flexible on payment terms. He Finished everything in 2 days!!! Ridiculous.

For anyone that would be considering Ben to do any service i would highly recommend him. I have also got a pair of his Coolant Savers and they are awesome, great guy.

good stuff

incubuseva 11-07-13 11:39 PM

Still doing this? how much do you buy a set of stock OMP banjo bolts for? I may have a set laying around.

RotaryEvolution 11-08-13 01:40 PM

i pay $10 for each FC set of fittings, doesn't matter if the lines themselves are broken or not.

vl4bad 11-12-13 04:38 PM

could you explain the benefit of these? i dont understand what they really are/do.

please excuse my noobness

incubuseva 11-13-13 04:55 PM

You have a metering oil pump. It pumps oil into the rotor housing so the apex seal is lubricated on the housing.

These lines are stupid brittle. So much that if you look at them wrong they break.

The SS lines offered here are a replacement of said brittle lines and will last much longer than stock lines.
