I finally got to Go racing at Brainerd International Raceway again cause all this covid stuff. Every last bolt was removed from the car this winter in a restoration process under shawns guidance via text and pictures. I fabricated everything with his knowledge and understanding of rotaries to help me along the way designing different aspects properly.

Last year I was on a front mount and no surge tank. No matter what I tried I fought high intake temps, heat soak, fuel cut in hard cornering on 20 min hpd sessions and in autocross.

I have never got to be the guy that wasn’t shutting the car off or popping hood in staging for autocross or road coarse. It was around 80 degrees and high sun and the car literally never broke 185 F. I was able to push the car to new boundaries and focus on driving instead of worrying about the cars behavior. I was able to do 4 20 min sessions essentially flawless other then one mishap which was my fault but drove car in trailer with zero leaks and that’s amazing considering my success level the last 6 years.

He would message me each day to see how things were going on his own to see if I needed him to look at a file or anything and you just don’t find guys like that doing tuning. My experiences to date is you are lucky if they will even call you back generally unless it’s to set up an apt to get you there.





His design and I built. From intercooler core selection, radiatorDesign , intake design, crash bars, brake ducts, intercooler ducting, surge tank, haltech dash to work with adaptronic ecu, all the wiring questions, selecting proper relays, etc etc. He has helped me
along the whole journey and granted it hasn’t been easy but almost every failure along the way was either me doing something stupid, cheap parts instead of quality ones, and a lot has been the car and previous owner things.
