RHDJapan.com question

Has anyone here ordered parts from RHDJapan lately? I'm going to be buying mostly RE Amemiya body parts for my FD soon and was wondering how long it took to get parts through RHDJapan. Did any of you guys have to wait forever and a day to get parts through them especially parts coming from shops like RE Amemiya, FEED, R Magic, etc?

I last purchased stuff from them in January. took about 4 weeks at cheapest shipping. I think it really depends on what you are ordering as lots of their stuff (that I have searched for) is limited in stock and/or made on order.

FEED brake resevoir cap, RE Wing ( I cancelled that order but wait time on that was 6 weeks due to "made to order status" on that piece)

I ordered some parts from them in January, mazda factory RHD interior parts. Took about 6 weeks from purchase for them to arrive at my door. I was happy with the transaction.

you have to expect those types of wait times for anything from Japan. If you're going to opt for the cheapest shipping, they're going to wait till their container is more full so that it's cheaper for them to ocean freight it. If you need it quicker then pay for the expedited shipping

You have nothing to worry about with RHDJapan. I've been ordering from them for about 5 years now fairly frequently and have never had a problem. Russel and Pat are stand up guys

They seem to be a very reputable and trustworthy company in my opinion. Im just wondering what kind of waiting period I'll go through ordering RE Amemiya parts, because I plan on buying several exterior pieces at a time.

The 6 week ETA for a made-to-order part isn't that bad. I order parts from Germany all the time and made-to-order from companies much larger than RE Amemiya still take 4-6 weeks...sometimes longer. I'm currently working on a GT-R and we ordered a Powerhouse Amuse exhaust that is supposed to take 4 weeks without shipping. I was also informed that the standard ocean ride (without charges) is about 6-8 weeks.

fd3CB, what kind of parts were you interested in ordering?

RHDJapan is great for new parts. To get those same parts gently used and less expensively I'm a big fan of Bryan at rx7boutique.com (and a forum vendor). Both great companies.

I want to order the N-1 bumper, AD GT fender kit, front and rear diffusers...thats just what I want on my first order.

I just got back from Afghanistan and Im hoping to finish building my RE Amemiya replica after my next deployment to Africa early next year. I dont want to order something without knowing when Ill get it because I might not be in the country at the time. I dont go to Africa though until April 2012 so I dont think I would have to wait 10 months.

If the part is in stock and FedEx is used, I've had things in a week arrive at my door.

Most of RE parts are made to order so basically about 4 to 6 weeks...They are by far the most reliable source for new parts...

So is that 6 weeks to make it and another 4-6 weeks shipping time or just 6 weeks from the time you ordered it to the time it arrived? But yea they seem like the best place to get brand new JDM parts.
