What would make my N/A run soooo rich?
Man, my '86 GXL N/A runs very rich. When I first start the car it pours white smoke, that burns your eyes with gas fumes. The smoke will stop after about 10 minuets of running, but the smell still lingers. I know the cats are all cleaned out, but would that be the cause of so much gas fumes? Would changing the cats help to resolve this or what else should I try to stop the foul smell? I have adjusted the idle, and it idles great once it warms up. I'm just hoping it isn't the blasted the fuel injectors. Is there anyway I can test the injectors, or I guess I could take them somewhere to get them cleaned. Thanks for your help, and any other suggestions would be great.
