i dont know if this is the right place to ask, but i have 37 year mazda rx4 bolts on my air conditioning and oil cooler, and i cant remove them. what do you guys do to unscrew old bolts that are stubborn and recalcitrant? (my website is www.kagoshimaenglish.com/rx4.htm for pictures of my car).

i also made a video here to explain my difficulties:

.I looked at the video so here is your solution.
See the flat part of the elbow(90 degreee fitting)?..where the Nut screws onto the fitting?.
Find a sized wrench that corresponds with that Squared part of the 90 degree fitting.Put the Wrench on the squared part.
Use that wrench so the 90 degree fitting does not MOVE..Then you can put a Wrench on the NUT(on the line) and Undo that nut.
The problem that you are having is that you are not securing the 90 degree fitting enough.SO,If you secure that 90 degree fitting by holding it with Either a wrench or a set of Vice grips, you should be able to Loosen the Nut once that "other Piece" doesn't move.
I hope that helps ya.Cheers STYX.

+1

The line used for the AC is soft and will not stand up to using just one wrench. You need to use two so you don't brake any more lines.
