thermowax

I posted a question concerning idle problems with my 88 rx and many of you suggested the thermowax as the problem. Where exactly is the thermowax located and what is the procedure for checking it? note: Is the thermowax the same thing as the thermo sensor mentioned in the Haynes manuel?
thanx

If it's the same as it is on 3rd gens, it's located on the back of the throttle body. It has a wax plunger that pushes down on a lever to open the butterflies as it heats up.
