Smoke From Egr Port?
Hey, I'm having a problem with smoke rolling out from my egr port specifically where the emissions air pump used to be located underneath the UIM on the top side of the lower intake manifold. The egr valve and air pump/ rest of non needed accesories have been removed. My big questions are... When people remove the egr how do they usually plug this port which the smoke is billowing from? Should I be concerned about this? Would it solve my problem if I had an aluminum plate made to cover this hole? (yes with a gasket) or would that cause problems later on down the road?
