Small Batteries
Where the hell do I find one of those small (thin) batteries for my RX-7. I've seen them so I know they exist. Any help?

SEARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dunno what the big deal is over small batteries.  Smaller batteries have less CCA and A/h ratings.  Unless you gonna trickle charge your car, stick with the same size battery for a daily driver.  You're trying to out-guess physics...

Is this the battery you are talking about? :D

move the damn bill outta the way so you can read the name of the battery!

What would be so wrong with getting two of those and wiring them in parallel? Since this thread is already on topic, where can you get those batteries?
|
I thought about wiring two in parallel also but they do make a larger size that's closer to the orginal (or maybe the Miata). The brand name is Odyssey but I had to use a hockey puck to make it fit with the stock hold down bracket (too short).
If you really want it, get the kit from N-tech.com or relocate kit from M2Performance. That (pictured) battery is made for a Motorcycle and will not power your radio with the engine off! |
Try DynaBatt made by Performance Distributers. They make stuff for muscle cars, but hey--it works!
I have their 14lb battery which is very small and can be mounted in any position. I think it's pretty cool and I've had it for over a year now. Their web site is <http://www.jimcookperformance.com/PerfDist/> Then click on DynaBatt 12v. They do cost $155 though. |
I ended up getting the battery for an extremely good price. I can't remember where I purchased it, however, I'll post it soon. The bill is there to give you an idea on the size of the battery.
