Self Rebuild...
I'm going to attempt to rebuild my '90 N/A 13b, and I need a few pointers. I already have the Haynes manual, and I am wondering if I should purchase the "13B Rebuild VHS Tape" from www.AtkinsRotary.com. Has anybody seen this video before, and would it be a good purchase? Also, I don't want to have to replace anything that doesn't absolutely need replacing ( just trying to be cost efficient ) so is there any suggestions of places that will give me a good deal on individual rebuild parts (other than Atkins Rotary)? Any help with these subject, or tips in general would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, XxMaCaBrExX |
I've never seen the movie but I've heard nothing but great things about it. I am planning on buying it myself.

GET IT!
By all means, get the video.
If that is Bruce Turrentine's video, it is excellent. I own it. I'm using it to help me rebuild my TII right now. An invaluable help. Worth every penny. If its not Bruce's video, get both - you can't get enough good advice, IMHO. Do a search on Bruce's name, he has a copy for sale through one of the rotary aviation sites. Good luck, Steve C. |
I bought Bruce's video also...it is great.
I ended up not rebuilding my engine though... I found buying a factory rebuild from the dealer in Canada was only a couple hundered bucks more than just buying the rebuild parts. Because I wasn't going to port my engine, and the only mod I wanted to do was replace the oil regulator pelet with the Mazdatrix solid eliminator I just went with the ready to go engine. |
