Screwed up while removing upper intake manifold
Mazda RX-7 FD '96 Chuki
In all honesty I did the most stupid thing a man could ever do. While I was trying to remove the upper intake manifold, I did NOT disconnect the battery while doing so (reconnected it earlier to move the car). So while trying to remove the upper intake manifold, I hear a "poof" and a flash of white/blue-ish light coming from directly underneath the manifold... Any idea what it could be? |

Alternator post making contact with something metal? Check all your main engine and EGI fuses, one of them might be blown now.

Between this and the nut issue, it sounds like you need to take your car to a shop to be worked on.

just take your time. Its better to go a little slow and get it down right than to rush to get something done for the sake of time.

funny thing is, stuff like this never happened before when I was working on other cars :/ guess I'm too stressed for finishing it in time.

yeah, I work on my cars at night also. If I run into something I can't figure out or I get frustrated, I just put everything down and come back to it the next day. I have found that the solution will come a lot easier that way.

Zenki = before Chuki = in between Kouki = after |
I still think Zenki and Kouki are great names for Japanese Strippers..lol!

I think that my biggest problem is that I already start stressing before I even start. Since it's a Chuki, most parts that I order don't fit.

Hope you didn't short anything important and the fuses too all the heat. Ive seen a few people make contact with the alternator and give a little flash. Check fuses and hope for the best! Nice build!!

You have zenki and kouki reversed.
Zenki = before Chuki = in between Kouki = after |
