rx7 - 3k rpm stutter

Hi guys,
was on the motorway yestarday and the rx stopped boosting.
wont even go to 3k rpm just stutters im thinking sparkplugs, or wastegate stuck closed?
p.s checked oil and fluids all fine.

also idles under 1k now previously would rev upto 2k then lower down.
recently got an alarm fitted yestarday, could he have knocked something off when taking the dash out?

anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Ross

happened to me before. Ratsnest, one of the valves is fucked

but I wouldnt doubt the possibility that it could be related to the alarm installation

Basicly it was working and boosting fine, then come off the motorway from 70mph to 30mph just nothing depressing as hell! not many companys around here work on rotary engines sadley

White smoke could be bad turbos throwing oil into the motor.why would you want to swap out the engine.

Grinding noise coming from the center of the engine, been told it could be a number of things and rough idea of £3,000 to repair it. I simply dont have that kind of money to spend fixing a car every 1-2 year. Also there are no companys where i live for 500+miles that work on rotary engines. so the Piston engine will in the long run be more reliable and easier to fix.
