The right oil for the FD
Now when it comes to motor oil for the 3rd gen, what is the best oil to use? Is Mobil 1 full synthetic 10W-30 a good oil to use?
|
$.99 coastal :)
|
Is full synthetic oil bad for a rotary engine?
|
synthetic does't burn very well, so i wouldn't use it if you have an omp.
i premix with my fuel, so i could run synthetic if i wanted to, though. |
|
i've taken a lot of motors apart and haven't ever noticed a difference with the way the internals look depending on any particular brand of oil.
the frequency of oil changes is infinately more important than the type of oil you use. |
I use castrol gtx 10w-30 all the time for the past 2 years. Never had a problem related with oil.
Might go with idemitsu this summer though. |

Why not? Honestly, there is really no notice in difference for the street. |
