removing emissions

from what i read, it's possible to remove an rx's air pump and acv with a block off plate. my next question is, what do you do to compensate for what the acv pugs into? in other words, what and how do i remove my emissions. i've looked several places, online and otherwise so i hope you guys can help, thanks

You can remove the relief and switching solenoid valves as well.
You have to leave the split air pipe from the cat converter to the auxiliary ports, for 5-6 ports.

I don't think there's much to it

You can look at:

The MAZDA RX-7 86-88 technical page

under emissions, secondary air

or if you want just the how-to, look into this fine thread:

It's against the law to remove or disable and emmisions control devices on a street driven vehicle.

No its not. In California it is......In the State of Florida u can have smoke spewing out of your car and you won't get a ticket...well maybe for distrubing the peace or blocking the view of the other drivers.

Regardless of weather a state performs any emissions inspections or not or even enforces emissions laws - It is FEDERAL law that requires the equipment and it is a FEDERAL offense to remove said equipment.
Of course that being said - nobody in the Federal govt is actually enforcing (that is left up to the states) the law!

that is correct....for example: Florida

ERAUMAZDA,

First you say it's legal in FL, now you say it's not? What up? Are you ignorrant or just full of shit?

ERAUMAZDA 01-24-03 09:09 AM

It is a federal Law to remove an emission device how ever the state of florida has stopped doing emission testing. Therefore its not enforced. I think u need to take class in law and a class in how to respect others with out using distructive critizism and profanity. You been o this forum for a month and giving mixed advice on the forum.
