Question PLEASE HELP Midpipe Question

when you replace the stock cat with a midpipe, what do you do with the hose that runs into the directly catylitic converter...i bought a used pettit streetport and it was blocked off at the back of the engine...does this have anything to do with the airpump...im gonna try to keep that soo i can pass emissions next year...any help with this would be appreciated...

First study the Mazda Manual about the ACV and it's opeartion.

Two thing to do with a working air pump and a MP:
(1) either let it hang loose and any air just goes to atmosphere
(2) PIPE it into the MP to help clean up emissions a little more.
