Leaving Out The OMP Gear and Shaft On An OMP Delete?
 

I would have done more searching before asking. But the search seems to be down
right now.

I will be running pre mix. Removing all of the stock omp. The car is an S4 TII.
I upgraded all the plates and housings to S5 TII. Also I have an S5 TII front
cover. When they come new, they don't have any of the studs or the omp
shaft.

Since I'm not using the stock S4 TII Oil Metering System, I was thinking just to
leave the gear and shaft out. Makes since to me, but just making sure there's not
something I'm missing.

block the oil feed passage through the timing cover ( little hole in the timing cover gasket at the 2 oclock position )

Looks to be blocking it off at the front cover with 1/16 npt pipe plug, correct.
Or any other means for that matter.

I did this on my FD front cover when deleting the OMP. I tapped the hole the shaft passes through with a 1/4" NTP tap and ran a flush cap bolt in it with some sealant, and then ran a small bolt in the oil feed. Works great and reduces the chance of leakage at the block off plate.

what bolt did you put in the oil feed. I thought about just blocking it. But there's
not a lot of metal there. Thats why I was just going to do the front cover.

Any one have some pictures of the small hole you have to block ?

Chance of leakage with block off plate would yield the same chance as leakage with omp. Your oil pan will leak well before that gasket. I wouldn't waste my time. RisingRPM makes some nice looking block off plates.
