innovate LC-1 issues, hardware failure?
ok it all started when i plugged in the lap top to ajust analog out 2 to work with my rtek's 0-5 volt in.
so basicly i hooked up a lap top that was low on battery, went to edit the volt sweep... 0=7.35 5=22.39 i did that and clicked program..... didnt work? ok so now i got my analog guage on my dash that isnt reading correctly and my rtek isnt displaying correctly both are reading all the way lean. 5 volts so i go back in and notice that the factory default settings were in use. so i programed both analog 1 and 2 and it saved but didnt show different on my guages..... i did it again seeing that the factory default was in use again by this time i plugged in the lap top thinking it was a data transfer rate issue. i did it one last time then my guages started going CRAZY . back and forth all over the place. so i looked at the on screen digital display. it was all over the place i call inovate and they tell me to calibrate the o2 sensor and upgrade firmware 2 hours later after dealing with a heat warped bung for the 02 sensor. i got it out. calibrated. put back in and upgraded firmware problem was still the same so i got back on the phone with inovate and it MAGICLY started working again.... i programed the analog outs and all was well for abotu 2 weeks the analog outs messed up again. i think its because of my screw off battery disconect behind passanger seet. sometimes i forget to turn of ACC and sometimes the battery arks several times and causes possible calibration or reset of the lc-1 system THAT PROBLEM ASSIDE i had another problem last night i went to set the analog outs again. because they were not workingg on my rtek or analog gauge. i hooked up the computer and used lm programer and recalibrated sensor on screen. i then went into analog 1 and 2 and noticed they were both set in lamba. i clicked over to afr and went to change to above said spec for 0-5 volt sweep. it said it was unable to do so because my values were incorrect. idk wtf is wrong with it at this point so i just turn on the car and go to pull up the on screen digital display. it said "could not connect" said it was less then a 9v on the battery and or it was not connected. though it was and i had just recalibrated it via usb port com port 10. which has always worked in the past. lap top does not have serial port. soooooooooooooooo i glance down at my rtek and notice my af ratio is accurate.... though i acomplished NOTHGING but a recalibration. the rtek was reading correct a/f ratio for idle so i went driving and again it was responding correctly and readingg correct a/f ratio i am still unable to reprogram analog outs. and i am still unable to pull up the lc-1 on digital onscreen display on lap top... my analog 2 is not working on my analog gauge pod. |
It sounds like you may have a ground issue on the reset problem. I had the same problem with the scale input. It would say values must be between a certain range. I put whatever values into it to stop getting the error message and then it would let me go to the first tab. Go to the first tab (info/set afr) and make sure its on 14.7 gasoline, mine went to a custom tab somehow and wouldn't let me set the afr scale. When you set the scale, only change one thing at a time. Once you make a scale change, load it and wait a few minutes and then shut down the program. I have read on other forums if you make a change and unplug the data cable with the power still on, it will go back to a default setting. I also found that my DB analog gauge works best when set to 0.000v = 7.35 5.000 = 22.39. Here is a link to innovates forum http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...a%3DN%26um%3D1 I found some good info there about connection issues.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it turns out. |
