Help!

I own a 1991 RX-7 convertible and it has a problem. Symptoms: Check engine light comes on; tach drops out (does not work); car stalls. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this?

Help!

My '91 vert had similar symptoms after I drove away with about 4 inches of water on the passenger's floor - the drain holes for the top had gotten plugged with leaves and guess where all the rain water went (maybe you don't have falling leaves in FLA like we do in MO).

Anyway, the ECU got wet. Replaced it and know the car runs great. May not be your problem - I really don't have a clue about 7's or cars in general but I thought I should share my experience anyway.

AFM could have gotten wet. Remove cover and CAREFULLY clean up with light compressed air. Don't apply surface rubbing or much heat.
