engine rebuilt problems

i had my engine rebuilt and got about 1300miles on it and it blew up i had i think 2-3 apex seals broken in the rear and and 1-2 cracked. the housings were messed up on the sides the front was only a little and only one rotor was messed up.the apex seals were broken on the sides my engine builder said that i detonated but i don't think so i wanted to make if any other kind of thing would make that happen this was on a turbo2

Improperly built motor.
Overheat.
Overrevved.
Improper break-in.

you don't think improperly tuned should be in there?

Sure, but I'm assuming it's stock.

Detonation
Maybe overheated
Did they mill the rotors? I have seen improperly milled rotors do this.

it was not overheated or overreved.i think may be the guy that built my engine or detonation.it was stock with 2mm 2 peice seals and a s5 turbo with full racingbeat exhaust and knightsport fcd. i am going to build it again but i need one rotor i have one s4 and one s5 so i need to look for one of them and buy new seals. i was boosting like 8-10 when it was running or could have that made it run lean.

Having a lean mix could have definitely caused detonation.
