Dropped intake nut in Y-pipe!!!

So I was removing my intake manifold to check on my rat's nest and suddenly I dropped one of the nuts in my y-pipe!! Please help, thanks alot!

No worries, if it went down the y-pipe the nut is sitting in the y-pipe or down on top of one of the turbos compressor outlets.

You can simply remove the parts to get to the nut or fish around with a magnet on a long flexible piece of plastic.

It is probably on top of the front turbo compressor outlet which should be easy to reach with a magnet (on a string even as all the aluminum of the y-pipe and turbo is not magnetic).

take off parts until you find the missing nut. Its not rocket science.

At least you noticed you dropped it. Its the stuff you don't notice that will get you in trouble. Cover up those open holes!

i'm sure he was joking, but i could picture some noob not acknowledging it. chances of anything larger than a few mm in size being ejected from the engine cleanly are next to zero.

problem is, this isn't the lounge.

I really hope you were joking.

Reminds me of this though, the episode where they poured paintballs down the intake;
