Compression Question

can i lose compression from the motor if i'm running too rich and doing too much back-fires...?

because i notice tonight after i did one.. my compression aint like before...

and im running a straight 2 1/4" exhaust with a DC Sport muffler and Vibrant Super Resonator

i just removed the hose from the thing for anti-pollution thing

what were you compression #'s before and after? Maybe you were pushing the car harder after those mods and madaged the engine. Running richer is usually safe while running lean usually causes problems

Yes, run it rich enough to the point where it's still combusting out the exhaust can damage the engine.

It even sounds like detonation.
