Complete Engine Failure

Hello,

I took my car to a Mazda Dealership as I was having problems with it and the techs there said the problem was complete engine failure. Can anyone advise me as to where I should look to purchase a new engine and what might the cost be for the engine and instalation?

Thanks,

Bill

Do a search first on the forum.
by the way, could you describe the symptoms ofthe car. Like it won't start, compression ratio...anything beyond what the techs have told you. Not to insult any car mechanics here but I have met some shaddy ones through out the course of my life.

What year/model is the car? Mazda hasn't imported RX-7s to the US since '95, so most mechanics out there now aren't familiar with them. (not that many were back in the day)

Are you looking to replace the engine yourself or have a shop do it? There are many options to getting a new one. You can get reconditioned used ones, new ones, new high-proformance engines, it all depends on what you want.
