MN '82 RX7 GSL mech in MN? Mpls area?

Hello! I'm looking for someone that can give my RX7 a tune up. I live very close to Minneapolis.

My issue is that the idle runs quite high after I replaced the original carb with a Holley, otherwise she runs good. I've tried tweaking the idle screws but no luck, I think I need experienced eyes to check it out. I'd love to wrap up the engine work before I invest in body work, in MN? think you can help? Thanks! John

idling high? there are a couple of basic things to check
step one is to get a small piece of paper
two, find the throttle stop/idle speed screw (green arrow). put the paper between the screw and the thing it hits. loosen the screw until the paper is loose and tighten until it just grabs the paper
three, the mixture screws (red arrows) should be somewhere between half a turn and a full turn out, when the mixture is right. if it wants to be out further than that, its ok, but it should get a bigger idle jet. if its less than half turn it could use a smaller idle jet

if you do that and it still idles high, you should look for air leaks

pic is an IDA, but any weber has the same parts

Thank you J9! I will do this exact test myself. If this works or not I'd still like to find a person with mech experience close to home.
Update: oops, It's actually a Holley carb.
