13B treatments for better compression
i heard that you can add something to your engine that will harden the apex seals to give you better compression it was a three letter name if i remember correctly anyone know what im talking about?
thanx |
you mean ATF ...
Lots of controversy about this Do a search about 'atf treatment' and you will find plenty to ponder about Hugues - |
Doesn't harden anything, just loosens up the springs if they are sticking. I have seen a guys T2 go from no compression, because it was flooded, back to good compression because we put ATF in there to lube stuff up. If your car is ever spinning with no compression after you flood it, you can put some in the chambers. I am sure oil would work as well if you don't want to use ATF for some reason.

what do you mean by chambers
|
I believe the chamber is the combustion chamber... in another words you take out the spark plugs and pour it in. Do a seach because I'm not too sure.

Yah, what he said.
Leave the plugs out, squirt in about a cap full of ATF, and then crank the engine without fuel or spark. You can do this a few times to get a good coating. |
