12A Engine Reliability

I have a !st Gen 83 RX7GSL 12A engine 60,000miles How can you blow an engine installing a driveshaft? It was runnin sweet before the shaft installation I' feel I'm being blown off because there was a screw up some where
Any recall problem on 12A engine for the past 20 years?
Anyone aware of a specification that states 12A engines are good for only 100,000
