Well, not exactly cheap, but it is less expensive than the HKS 6-speed, and it will vastly improve the strength of the internals of the transmission...

Interesting.
It looks like the 6th gear change system that greddy had on their Japanese site.
Do these guys make their own kits?

3.48
2.02
1.39
1.00
.72
If anyone knows these are wrong please correct me.

cool, thanks guys, ONE more question- what mathmatical equation do I use to re-calculate road speeds for every gear based on a stock 4.11 rear end and 8000 rpm window

jimlab- I think one of the reasons I hardly ever go to the big list anymore is the rudeness of some of the people there. One of the first times I logged on, there was some one ragging on you for some petty reason. I could not believe that in a group of people that was supposed to be interested in a particular car, there could be such bickering. Takes all kinds, I guess.

I have tried to buy the gearset for the turbo tranny and they are not selling them. They have an agreement with greddy or hks and we have to buy it through them, =big money.
I went with housemanautosport.com, and got the same thing ina 5 speed.
oR WAIT AND GET THE RX8 TRANNY.

I think thats been rehashed as well... the t-56 loses its efficiency/effectiveness after 6000 rpm. But being that it is a "common" tranny there might be a better and cheaper source of changing out gear ratios?
I know for a fact that there is a rotary speed shop in Cali that mates the t-56 to the 13bs--they have it in their 1st gen race car. They make adapters for 1st and 2nd gen. Long ago I inquired about them making it for the FDs but there was no demand. Just can't seem to find their website anymore

Straight cut gears are also loud as well. Have you ever noticed the noise your car makes in reverse. this is because the reverse is a straight cut gear. they like to wine a lot and in some grand prix cars, I have heard, in the cabin the tranny is louder than the engine going down the track.
Chechk out this site for a sh__ hot gear set tranny for an FD, not 6spd but with this kit who cares!www.gurumotorsports.com
