Power FC what are all the vitals the PFC monitors??
what are all the vitals the PFC monitors??
what are all the vitals the PFC's commander tells you?? like...what are all the "gauges" it includes?? i know boost and water temp., but what else?? also, is it necessary to have a gauge of something that the PFC monitors already?? for example, i always see FD's with water temp. gauges that are also equpped with PFC's. is there any reason to this, other than the convenience of looking at a gauge as opposed to a small digital readout??
thanks. sorry for all the questions.

the pfc can monitor intake air temp, water temp, knock, battery voltage, vehicle speed, ignition timing leading and trailing, engine rpm, boost, and injector duty cycle. You can also indirectly monitor air/fuel ratio by way of the voltage of the o2 sensor.
JoeD,
I would think most people would want true gauges for things they really care about, like boost. Plus, the memory feature of the Apexi and Defi is worth it in my book, at least for boost. One thing, the readings on the PFC are all in Celcius and kg/cm^2. Sure you can get used to converting it, but I'd like to see boost and water temp in PSI and Fahrenheit. It would be nice if they let you switch between metric and US units. It's not like that would be hard to implement.
The PFC does have some cool features over gauges tho, like a 10 second graph display. Click up there where Jason has the PFC maps. You can check out the manual in PDF format.

The PFC will monitor all of the things listed but it only show you up to 8 at one time. You can set it to show 8, 4, 2, or only 1 setting. I only display 4 on mine because the numbers are displayed in a larger font if you have 8 displayed.
