Remove turbos

Okay, list everything i need to remove to get at the turbos (preferrably in order of removal). I'm gonna replace the UIM gasket while i'm in there, anything else I should do "just because i'm there"?

ok this is gonna be a quick write up since the process is kinda drawn out...if pulled and re-installed 3-4 times..its pretty straitforward

ok jack the car up...u can drain the coolant if u please..if not a bit will leak out

ok pull the intake and intake hoses....
then go under the car remove rear turbo inlet pipe 10mm
then remove air pump 12mm i think
then remove the y pipe 10mm
then remove down pipe 14mm
then disconnect oil lines and coolant lines..oil inlet use 2 17mm wrenches ( u can snap the tube easy )
the oil return lines are 10 mm...
then unbolt the turbos from the manifold...i think its like 6 14 mm and 2 13mm nuts....
then with the help of a friend pull the turbos up and on an angle out a the car.....
tadow
i think the lightning site has a good write up...its under the non-seq conversion page...
if u need any more help feel free to e-mail

Yeah, i've got the manual....i just didn't remember there being a good writeup on the whole process. Plus the manual likes to tell you to remove things when it isn't necessary. Thanks bacon, that's a HUGE help, and i'll look at Steve's site later too. I'll post pics middle of next week of my wastegate porting job.

Talking

I know this feeling. I had to pull my turbos two months ago to replace the exhaust gaskets. Not too bad of a job I think it took me 2-3 hours with out a manual or any directions. The hardest part was geting the turbos past the egr valve. that's kind of a bitch.
