Question Power Door lock in an FD: Wiring question.

I'm installing a power doorlock actuator in an R2 FD drivers side door. Since I don't have the Bose system, the amp power wires are there in the door harness, but unused. I tapped into those for use on the actuator expecting to cut them inside the cabin and hook them up to the relays.

Too bad they don't exist on the interior side! They dissappear at the body connetor.

So how are you guys routing wires to the actuators?

Thanks,
-IG

I've seen mention of drilling through the body connector, but where does this happen? It's a tight place to be drilling.

Ok, maybe this will help. This is the connector I'm talking about. Does anyone know how to disengage this? I tried squeezing the blue part, but it didn't feel like it was going to release.

This is the driver's door jamb. You can see the door seal on the left.

[now let's see if I can post a pic ]

Thanks,

look on the top side of the plug from the door jam. you will see a small lever on the top side of the connector. Push down on it with a flat head and pull the connector out from in between the door jam.....not from the interior foot where the clutch pedal is.
