My new wheels + tires.
yup, there stang wheels. I think they look pretty good! 235/40 R17 in front. The tires are Michelin SX MXX3's that have a tread wear of 140. On the back is some old BFG G-Force R1 DOT race tires, 255/45 R17. Im going to go do an autoX on this setup and see what happens. The R1's are so much bigger and stickier then the fronts so im execting no oversteer. I have these mismatched tires because i am a poor college student.

bah! i just put a small but very visiable scratch on the front left!
I guess i deserved it though, my car handels so much differently with these new wheels and tires and im not 100% with them yet. and i was going way to fast for that road, and i had worn, cold racing tires that are pretty much slicks. I went around a corner at high speed, got into some dirt on the road and the next thing i knew the rear slid out from under me and i went spinning into a curb. Luckly, almost all of my speed had scrubed off before i made contact, but the front left, and only the front left hit the curb at about less then a half mph, and it made a scratch about 1/4" in size kinda on the inside part of the wheel. The funny thing is, the damage is inside the outer 'lip' of the wheel. The only thing that makes sense to me is that i must have kicked up a rock and it hit that part of the wheel...
anyway... its so small that most people wouldnt care; but still! o well, i intended to get these wheels as race wheels anyway, and after all, they are mustang wheels! its not like theres a shortage of those!
It could have been a lot worse though, it could now be looking for a new K member and lower control arm.
