Thumbs up Dual exhaust mpeg...need someone to host a couple small vids please.

I finally got around to videoing my n/a FC with a true duel exhaust on it. I get very tired of hearing how people think they will be loud because _______ said so. (Please fill in blank with a name of your choice. )

I have three video's. One is cruising around 55mph, anouther ideling (quick peak at my 3rd gen too .) And the last is a wot in 2nd from 3k-8.5k. I garentee you'll be suprised how quite it realy is at cruise/idle. At WOT, it sounds good.

These vids are just off my sony digital camera, so the quality is far from great, but you'll get an idea.

Please shoot me an e-mail at Blackrx7@aol.com or leave a e-mail adress here.

I'll be getting a couple more in a couple days, when my co-worker can video as I do a WOT run, and a normal accel. run. Thanks, CJ

Somone hurry and host these! I've been itching for these since I saw his sale add . Plus I just love hearing other peoples rotaries . I'm really still itching to hear other dual setups to decide what I want to do also.

Glad you got some vids for us .

The only time is realy starts sounding good is when you are accel. fairly hard, or reving it. Muffler choice and placement is a key factor in keeping it quite. CJ

I'm running dual 2" exhaust. Basically, a RB header, then each exhaust pipe goes into a RB pre-silencer, then 2" all the way to the back, where the RB mufflers sit. The exhaust is tottaly uncollected. Rob@Pineapple, told me where to put the mufflers, and what exhaust size to use. I've very happy with the exhaust, but the single turbo setup for my FD is calling to me. So thats why I'm selling it. BTW: Anyone could build this setup for around $600 if you can weld. Or you could spend around $1200 and have a mazdatrix one. (My pre-silencers are a little closer to the motor than theirs.) CJ

BTW, what does everyone think?

Stock, save for some sort of aftermarket muffler that isn't very loud.

Sounds just like mine dude. But I spent more $$ obviously since I bought them from MT.

True Duals are NOT loud.

I hope sonicrat hosts those for a good while so everyone that says they are will STFU!

Not bad!
Thats not too loud, but its hard to tell on PC speakers and mpeg audio. I have a collected exhaust, into the stock manifold with EVO mufflers. No resinators. It sounds like my system is much louder than yours.

Sorry for the poor quality, better comming soon. My friend hit record too soon.
Just be happy we don't have cars that sound like popcorn makers on crack, with watermellon cannons for exhausts (although if I took the baffles out of mine, I could launch small fruit like Gallager)

Yummy duals...I agree sound suppresion and power both go hand in hand with the placement of the silencers or mufflers (aka...expanding of the area the gases flow). I would also put them just a touch closer than RB puts them to gain a bit more on top and make it quieter.
