Question need help: am i missing anything on the calipers?

i bought a set of front FD calipers, just the bare calipers, i know i need to go get a pair of pads. now my question is there anything else i need that im missing?

pics:

things like clips or what not to hold the pads on the calipers? i was told that the pads just sit on the pistons, and i would have to push them in a bit so they would fit between the rotors and the pistons. any help, instructions etc. would be great, thanks.

ps. i dont own a FD, please excuse my lack of knowledge of the components

There are two rods that fit through the caliper. You can see the holes they slide through in your pics. On one end they have a head so they can't slide any further. On the other they have a little hole through them. The rods pass through holes in the pads. There is a wire retainer/spring wire that fits through the holes in the ends of the rods and then locks onto the housing. There are two other spring/retainer wires that fit around the rods and act to spread the pads.

I'm guessing all those parts would be on your current calipers.

That's what I remember off the top of my head,
