looks like a little bit of sanding and that car will look DAMN fine!

It's really coming together nicely! Keep up the good work

an elementary question so we ALL know:

What are the principal characteristics and benefits of a coilover setup as opposed to a macpherson strut?

Well it is still a macpherson setup as it has a strut and spring. BUt the benefit of the coilover is that first it make it really easy to setup the right height. Second because the diameter of the coils are smaller, there are more wheel and tires choices. Third springs with different rates are available for really low price as the 2.5" diameter spring is really generic.

All these are really beneficial for racers as corner balancing the car is easier and cheaper. Before coilover, if you wanted to balance the car, you had buy different springs with different heights and hope they work. Not to mention changing them in and out is a pain in the a$$.

Cheers,
Omid

Well it probably won't work on RX-3. That is basically a 2nd gen subframe on my car. It worked b/c the 2nd gen and 1st gen have the same distance between the subframes. So it was "easier" to put it in. I don't think RX-3 has the same width.

I noticed that you molded in the rear wing. Did you seal the hole for the antenna?

Yes I did seal the hole as I have to use for the radio and it keeps the car more symmetric under aerodynamics without the antenna. LOL
