M2 Radiator Draincock

As a public service message, if you happen to need a new draincock for your M2 radiator, go to Kragen auto and get part number 490-235.1, which is listed as a Toyota 79-down draincock.

Don't waste your time lugging your radiator into Home Depot thinking that a 3/8 or 5/16 or 1/4 NPT plug will do the trick, because they won't. Neither will a M12 bolt (M11 might, but they were out of stock) or a 7/16 bolt.

In fact, I still don't know what standard the thread follows, nor do I know the pitch. But I do know that (1) Kragen has the part that fits, and (2) if you walk around Home Depot carrying a radiator, people will stop and ask you if you can buy radiators at Home Depot now, since apparently there is quite a bit of pent-up demand for radiator sales at Home Depot.

Of course, you can save yourself a lot more time by not needing a replacement draincock in the first place. But, hey, my buddy needed one so I was just helping him out

I can't believe you put a Toyota part in your FD3S.

You have now bastardized her and started an impure breed. Next thing you know we'll see you walking around home depot with a piston. Where will it all end?

Yep, it's my one-piece-at-a-time toyota engine conversion.

I'll probably keep going until I reach my limit-- right before painting my tailights like you did

I can't believe he put an M2 part in, Mr. Miller.
