ques. about stock seat belts.

stupid question, but I was just wondering because my friend got in the passenger seat and noticed that my my buckle was different...is the stock seat belt BUCKLE on the passenger side supposed to be big? The drivers side buckle is a loop and the buckle, but the passenger one is like one from a GM or an oldsmobile...its big, and squarish, but matches the the buckle and interior color just fine. Is the driver side one different? or is the passenger side one different? when I say different, I mean different than stock. or is it supposed to be like that?

My 94 is all loop kind on both side. I sat in a 93 R1 once that had the retared squarish buckle.

i asked that question a couple of months ago and the reply i got is that the 93s have two different buckles, while the 94+ have the same buckles. it has something to do with the 93s only having drivers airbag and the 94+ having dual airbags.

yup. I have a 93 touring and both of my buckles are different also. The airbag theory makes sense to me. kinda dumb inmho.
