I upgraded the Fuel Pump...now running too rich?

This is a follow-up to my last FP post.

I recently swapped my OEM FP for a Denso Supra TT FP(rotoryperformance). Now, now when I am running at WOT above 5000 rpm the car feels like its struggling to rev any higher. The car accelerates fine down low.

My mods are:
Autometer Boost Gauge, 17" Kosei S5R Wheels, Eibach Pro Kit Springs, Tokico illumina 5 way adj. Shocks, 17.5 lb Flywheel(should'a went with the 9.5 lb fw), Custom CAI w/ K&N's, HKS Exhaust, Greddy Turbo Timer, 3" SS Downpipe, M2 Stage III ECU, Home Depot Boost Controller, Home Depot Torque Brace, N-tech Hi-flow cat, Non-Sequential Mod., ASP/M2 Large SMIC, Greddy Elbow, Hawker Drycell mini Battery, 99-spec lip., Denso Fuel Pump, Pettit Front Sway Bar.

To be installed: HKS Twin Power

@12-13psi Boost

So is my car running too rich due to the increased Fuel flow???? Or is it an ignition/spark problem?

rich

Yes you're running to rich. Had the same problem in the past. I used the PIM volatge on my PFC to pull out some fuel between 5-6 RPM. The car now pull strong up to redline .

Serge,

That's what I thought. I hope the HKS twin power helps with this problem.

Damn, I think it's time to 'graduate' to the Power FC!!!

I can't live with my PFC. Great tuning tool.

You should check your fuel pressure, sometimes when people install this pump there are problems or a leak inside that tank that makes pressure too low. Then you would be running too lean, running too lean can make it hard to rev. I wouldn't *assume* it is too rich. Do a simple fuel pressure test while driving, then you can make a better guess.
